We’re delighted to let you know we have taken an important next step on our journey to becoming accredited to ISO 17020. This is the international standard that demonstrates capability, competence, impartiality and consistency in the work of inspection bodies.
To delve deeper into the advantages and requirements of ISO 17020, a number of our team, including senior management, participated in an informative ISO 17020 auditing training course. Led by Bywater’s knowledgeable tutor, this two-day course not only introduced the standard and auditing principles but also provided a platform for tailored discussions on our specific challenges.
Our commitment to quality, exemplified by the participation of our recently appointed CEO, Gary Cass, underscores the importance we place on achieving ISO 17020 accreditation. While not all of our course attendees will be hands-on in the running audits, we recognise the value of ensuring that everyone who touches on the area of quality management across the organisation understands why and how we are aiming for accreditation and the value it can offer our customers.
The exclusive nature of our training course allowed us to address organisation-specific challenges. Fostering in-depth discussions and ensuring a focused understanding of our next steps. The course employed a variety of teaching and interactive activities including workshops and team discussions. Those who will be carrying out audits are looking forward to their further training.
As an organisation we already have a certified quality management system (ISO 9001) and environmental management system (ISO 14001). Our accreditations enable our customers to be confident of our ability to meet their needs with accuracy and efficiency.
