Investing in The Community
As part of East Herts District Councils investment in leisure, Grange Paddocks Leisure centre in Bishop’s Stortford is currently being replaced. The new Grange Paddocks leisure centre will provide a major public building of high design quality, providing a broad range of indoor sports, recreational and leisure facilities.
The new leisure centre will be built to the south of the existing leisure centre and the existing centre will be demolished on completion of the new facility. The proposed new facility also includes external works such as the relocation of some existing pitches, new landscaping and external seating areas, a new play area and the creation of a new all-weather 3G pitch and tennis courts.
There has been significant progress on site despite the pandemic. Dan Humphries, contract manager at Everyone Active, added; “This is another fantastic step towards welcoming the local community to our new centre. Grange Paddocks Leisure Centre will be pivotal in providing a wide range of facilities to the community and engaging people from all backgrounds in exercise.
