We understand that you want our support on-site without causing delays. That’s why we take a practical, risk-based approach to inspections and work closely with your contractor to fit in with your project schedule.

Notifying Commencement

Before building work begins on site, you must notify HBC. On the Submit-a-plan portal, you can do this through the Site Information section of the Manage screen. Click ‘Notify Commencement‘ and provide the expected start date.

Booking a Site Inspection

On the Submit-a-plan portal the Site Information section also shows what inspections are required for your project. You can see which inspections have been completed, which are booked, and request new inspections when you are ready.

We open at 8am so book your same-day site inspection early (Appointments are full by 9.30am). Simply send us a message on Whatsapp at 074837 034482 with the above details. 

* Please be aware that final inspections and rejuvenations require 24 hours notice to allow our inspectors time to review the relevant information before the site visit.

Being equipped for mobile working arrangements, we are not tied to fixed inspection hours. Our inspectors will do their best to meet the site teams’ requests in terms of the timing of inspections. For larger projects, multiple daily inspections may be arranged to keep the work progressing.

All our inspectors are  listed on the HSE’s Building Safety Register
