Walking Through London at Night

The Thames Ultra Challenge 10-Mile Walk route followed the River Thames through central London, offering some of the capital’s most famous sights lit up after dark. From the glittering Shard towering above the skyline, to Tower Bridge, the glowing lights of the Houses of Parliament, and reflections on the Thames itself – it was a stunning, if soggy, walk. Despite heavy showers at the start, the views were unforgettable.

Beth shared:

“I got soaked through in the heavy showers but it was still a brilliant walk.”

Pam added:

“It was hard going on the legs after 8 miles. The others went ahead and we took it a little slower,c but the sights along the way were brilliant. So many rainbows and the lights as the sky darkened were fantastic.”

Supporting Garden House Hospice Care

Despite tired legs and the heavy rain, the team pushed through to the finish line. Every step was in support of Garden House Hospice Care, Hertfordshire Building Control’s chosen charity of the year. The hospice provides compassionate, specialist palliative care and support for local families when they need it most.
