"It makes a real change these days to have helpful personnel who are willing to go the extra mile - in my experience, this is not something that I come across every day, so thank you."

Mr Smith – Residential Customer
Business Development Manager
"Extremely efficient fast service. As a customer, I was impressed that you came out so quickly and phoned me ahead of time to say you were on your way. Paul Smith was very helpful onsite and even took his shoes off at the door. Paul told me that I'd have my paperwork within 24 hours and 22 hours later it duly arrived. As a customer, I felt that I've had a fast, efficient, friendly service from everyone I've dealt with."

"I just wanted to pass on a commendation for Les Ryder. He has just helped us getting building control sign off on our building. It was very urgent as we are selling the building and he responded very quickly and helped us through the whole process in record time. "

"Thanks to Hertfordshire Building Control and especially your colleague who visited our premises. It is very rare nowadays to meet and face a humble and courteous professional like Mr. Peter Moore."

David Scriven – Court Homes Construction
Resident
"I have recently had a very difficult situation on site. This was related to the drainage system, and ensuring the right gradient on the foul drain run.
Russell took it upon himself to study the issues. He presented me with suggestions for solutions which saved me a significant amount of time, and consequently costs. Russell is a fine man, a pleasure to work with and I believe a credit to building control".

I would just like to compliment Building Control (Heather Massie) for the excellent and prompt way in which she handled my query and gave me advice.
It is not often that I experience such excellent and friendly Customer Service and everyone that I dealt with is a credit to the organisation.

I am writing to you to say how happy my husband and I are with the service provided by your team of staff.
A few months ago we moved into our ‘forever home’ and decided to do some interior renovation in making a more open plan kitchen/dining room. We have never embarked on a building project like this before, so it was all very much a learning curve.
Your staff members have helped and supported us every step of the way and we wanted to say a huge thank you. Without their professional guidance and direction we would not have been able to easily understand how the system now operates and what we needed to do to accomplish our wished for end result.

I would like to praise your team for the service I have just received. I had an issue with the property I'm selling and needed a Building Control Regularisation Certificate to satisfy my buyer. It took just over a week from my initial application email to receiving the certificate, I was expecting a much longer (and more expensive) process, but credit to your system, everything seemed very easy.
Finding and downloading the correct application form on your website was straightforward, although it says to refer to guidance notes for prices (which I wasn't able to find). Les Ryder was very friendly and helpful on the phone, responded to all my emails/questions, and arrived for the site inspection at the arranged time.
I was extremely worried that I might lose my buyer, and the house I'm trying to purchase because of this issue, but we appear to be back on track now, so thanks again.
