Nicki has worked for local government since leaving school, and she has worked in various departments/authorities before finally settling in Building Control for the last 18 years. Her Building Control career started as a technical support officer, progressing to Building Control Technician.

As a Building Control Technician Nicki is responsible for the progress of an application for start to finish, ensuring fees are correct and applications are input properly onto the application systems, letter production etc. She is responsible for managing the financial aspect of Building Control, producing reports to ensure efficiency and targets are met. Nicki is the point of contact for fee advice and problem solving relating to applications, and she likes to ensure the customer has a good experience of Building Control by providing excellent customer service.
